Would you like to learn about Family Constellations? Reflect on your own work using this systemic mindset? Have the chance to do personal work with a trusted and supportive group?
Then these Family Constellations Personal and Professional Development Workshops are made for you. You might be interested as a counsellor, or therapist, social worker, community worker, or parent, friend or simply a human being.
We aim to:
- Explore how the Family Constellation methodology finds its place within the context of attachment theory and trauma theory.
- Understand the dynamics of entanglement, why a system may exclude a family member and how the entanglement passes down the generations. Discover how the entanglement prevents us from living our lives fully.
- Develop mindfulness of our ‘stance’: our ability to stay centred in a role (therapist, support worker, friend, teacher…) and not let ourselves be pulled into someone else’s feelings. Throughout the weekend, we will practice ‘mindfulness of breathing’ exercises with Sheila McCarthy-Dodd.
- Develop our ability to help a client define their aim and desire by practising good questions and ‘open curiosity’. Explore what might be blocking the movement toward this aim.
