People come from very different starting points to family constellation workshops, bringing their unique story. Maybe you are struggling in your relationship, in your family, or with your children. You might feel something is holding you back from living the life you want. You might be struggling to come to terms with being adopted, or with the breakdown of a relationship. Maybe stress is pushing you towards your edge; maybe a bereavement is turning to depression. Maybe feelings of resentment have been lingering.
How can a family constellation workshop help?
Family constellations offer a unique approach. While traditional therapies typically focus only on the client, Constellations works with a whole picture of the individual as part of a larger set of systems – family, community, ethnic group and so on.
It has an extraordinary capacity to clarify hidden forces that often include previous generations or rejected elements, which may be actively entangling you in the here and now.
Difficult events often result in people being excluded from the family’s history, or being burdened by what they carry from their past. The strength and energy to live our life more fully become available when we are able to see where the feelings really come from.
There are two ways to participate in a Family Constellation Workshop. As an ‘issue holder’, you will have the opportunity to work on the ‘issue’ or question that preoccupies you. If you are not sure what the issue might be, Clare will guide you through the process. You can also participate as a ‘representative’ where you support the other issue holders. Many participants have experienced that being a representative has brought them clarity and helped them take the next step in their own process.
